Kitchen-Sink Recipes

Hello!
If you shoot on film and are interested in learning how to develop your own still rolls at home (35mm and 120), join us for a hands-on workshop that explores how to mix black and white chemistry using inexpensive, easy-to-find ingredients.
We’ll shoot black and white film together, mix our own developers using tea, coffee, wine and beer (mix a little, drink a little!), and hand-develop our film using these smelly concoctions. The idea is to get our hands dirty, have fun, and learn the basics of black and white film development—so you can mix (and maybe even come up with) your own developer recipes.
The workshop will cover:
-
Shooting black and white film: each participant will shoot 8–10 frames on a shared 35mm roll
-
Understanding the basics of black and white chemistry along with learning how to mix your own developers
-
Hand-developing film in a darkroom and using a Paterson tank
If you practice film photography and want to explore DIY developing processes, come spend the day with us :)
Facilitated by Simran Ankolkar & Namrata Sanghani
