Luminal Dyes

Hello!
With our workshop, Luminal Dyes, we invite participants to explore image-making on darkroom paper through experiments with photochemical processes, using natural and artificial light.
We will be making rayograms, lumen and cyanolumen contact-prints using a mix of film and OHP negatives, objects, and botanicals together with tannins and pigments to create compositions layered with textures and tones.
All materials, including cyanotype chemistry and photo paper would be provided by us. You’re also welcome to bring along anything that you’d like to make prints with! (flat things with well defined silhouettes work best!). We will also be sending you scans of all your prints.
P.S: It’s a completely hands-on workshop, so please wear something you wouldn’t mind getting stained. No prior experience needed.
See you!
